FEI, NASBA Appoint New Leaders

Financial Executives International has named Marie N. Hollein as the organization's new president and CEO.

She is currently managing director of KPMG's Treasury practice. She will take over from James J. Abel, who has served as interim CEO and president since July. She has over 30 years of experience in corporate and financial services and has been a member of FEI since 2000. Most recently, she served as the organization's national director-at-large for the Midwest.

Another accounting organization announcing a new leader is the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. The group said that Thomas Sadler, CPA, acceded to the post of chairman for 2008-2009 at the organization's annual meeting in October. He founded the Lakewood, Wash.-based firm Brink & Sadler in 1972. He retired from the firm in 2002, but is still listed as "of counsel."

Sadler served as the 2007-2008 vice chair of NASBA. He is also a past Pacific regional director, director-at-large and secretary of NASBA.
