Digital document collection and filing service FileThis Pro launched an integration with SmartVault, provider of SaaS online document storage and secure file sharing solutions.

The integration was created to save time by automating bookkeeping workflow. FileThis Pro enables accountants to collect clients’ taxes and financial statements by fetching bank statements, bills and tax-related documents from more than 400 institutions and converts them into text-searchable PDF files. The service then delivers them to storage locations like Google Drive, Dropbox and now SmartVault. By sending files directly to a clients’ folder in SmartVault to be processed, the integration prevents accountants from having to upload source files manually.

“We’re thrilled to provide SmartVault users with direct integration with FileThis Pro to close the loop between document delivery and document storage – offering a completely digital, automated, and secure process from start to finish,” stated FileThis CEO and cofounder Brian Berson.

SmartVault users can use the integration by connecting their FileThis web app with their financial accounts and setting up the storage destination as SmartVault, which will deliver up to three years’ worth of statements to a designated folder there.

“SmartVault continually strives to partner with best-in-class solutions to help accountants create more efficiency in their day-to-day workflow so they can be more productive,” stated SmartVault founder and CEO Eric Pulaski. “FileThis Pro provides SmartVault users with an easy way to automate their paperless document workflow – which is especially important as accounting professionals and the clients they serve seek to streamline the process of preparing for tax season and beyond.”
