Financial Accounting Foundation Opens New Site

The Financial Accounting Foundation, the organization that oversees the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, has launched a new Web site to expand awareness of its mission, operations and activities.

The new site, www.accountingfoundation.org, provides visitors an easy-to-navigate portal to important information about the FAF and its activities. The home page highlights “Recent News and Activities,” as well as links to pages that cover the FAF’s organizational overview, financial information, and corporate governance, including biographies and committee roles of each member of the FAF’s Board of Trustees.

“The FAF has an important role in protecting the independence and integrity of the U.S. standard-setting process, one that goes beyond the administrative oversight of FASB and GASB,” said FAF president and CEO Teresa S. Polley in a statement. “We launched the FAF Web site to help increase awareness of our mission and activities and, by extension, engage more of our constituents in the standard-setting process.”
