ALABAMA

Barfield, Murphy, Shank & Smith, Birmingham, has launched a new wealth services firm, BMSS Wesson Wealth Solutions. Local wealth industry veteran Mark Wesson will head up the new wealth services company. He brings more than 28 years of experience in the financial services industry, including managing the regional wealth groups at SouthTrust, Wachovia and Wells Fargo.

 

BAHRAIN

El Sayed El Ayouty & Co. CPAs, Manama, has joined global accountancy network UHY. Formed in 1989, the firm has team of 26, including two partners, and provides audit, accounting, management and legal consulting services to a portfolio of local and Gulf Cooperation Council clients. The firm is in the process of adopting the UHY branding and will be known as UHY El Sayed El Ayouty & Co. CPAs.

MASSACHUSETTS

KAF, Braintree, celebrated the 25th anniversary of its founding in 1991 on April 19. It will hold a formal celebration in September.

MICHIGAN

Clayton & McKervey has completed a renovation of its Southfield offices to accommodate its growth and to enhance its meeting room and collaboration space, and its technology through the installation of LifeSize, a communication tool

Whitman Business Advisors LLC has entered into a strategic partnership with Collemi Consulting & Advisory Services LLC to provide high-level strategic and technical guidance and a full range of accounting and auditing consultations including technical reviews of financial statements and work papers, internal inspection, AICPA Peer Review and PCAOB Inspection preparation, and design of quality control systems. … Big Four firm EY has launched the Americas Tax Innovation Foundry, a new services and business accelerator within the firm responsible for furthering its next generation of tax services. The group will be led by Chirag Patel, who recently joined EY from Highnote Foundry.

Brittenford Systems, Reston, has won a Concur App Center Partner of the Year award for its ExpenseConnect and InvoiceConnect integrations. … BookKeeping Express, Arlington, has been selected as the accounting and bookkeeping service provider for all franchisees of quick-service health food restaurant UFood Grill, which will open its first franchise location in May.
