Gallina has begun collecting surveys for its annual Construction Outlook and Wage Report, which will be released in February. Those in the construction industry can complete the survey here. Survey participants will receive a free copy of the report.

THE CHANNEL ISLANDS

PraxisIFM has joined global accounting network HLB International as its new principal member in the Channel Islands. Established in 1972, the firm is headquartered in the Channel Islands and has offices in South Africa, plus seven other locations, and over 250 staff.

CHILE

Landa Consultores, Santiago, has joined Andersen Global, and will adopt the name Andersen Tax – Landa in Chile. It brings over 50 professionals and four partners: Juan Landa, Eduardo Landa, Ramon Landa and Carlos Pardo.

FLORIDA

Employees of Myers, Brettholtz & Co. PA, Fort Myers, recently collected holiday gifts to be donated to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida. This is the 10th year the accounting firm has collected holiday gifts for a local nonprofit. Separately, the firm announced its 14th annual Nonprofit Seminar, in partnership with the Southwest Florida Community Foundation and the United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties. It will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the United Way, located at 7273 Concourse Drive in Fort Myers. ILLINOIS

Sikich LLP, Naperville, has been named one of the best places to work in the Chicago area by the Chicago Tribune. This is its fourth appearance on the list.

 

KUWAIT

Johar Audit has joined international firm alliance Alliott Group.

 

MASSACHUSETTS

[IMGCAP(1)]Rodman CPAs, Waltham, donated more than 100 pounds of food to the Newton Food Pantry on Beacon Street just prior to Thanksgiving. In a company-wide food drive held among 25 staff members in November, Rodman CPAs were able to fill six large boxes with canned and dry food donations. 

 

TEXAS

Weaver plans to move its Dallas office to approximately 58,000 square feet and two floors in The Union Dallas, at Field Street and Cedar Springs Road. The building is scheduled to open in 2017, and Weaver will move from its current location in 2018.

 

WISCONSIN

Smith & Gesteland LLP, Madison, has joined HLB International as part of the HLB USA Network of independent CPA and business advisory firms.
