Employees from Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith, Birmingham, and sister companies Abacus IT Solutions, Benefits Administration Services and Payroll & Benefit Solutions, recently joined together over eight weeks to donate over 600 hours to build the new Habitat for Humanity home. It was the fifth year in a row the firm has sponsored and built a Habitat for Humanity home. In addition, the firm recently hosted its fourth annual Credit Union Roundtable for employees and board members of credit unions.

Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility, while its office in Coral Gables received an Honorable Mention. Nationwide, the firms received awards for 53 of their offices, and four Honorable Mentions.

 

MARYLAND

Reznick Group has received a 2010 Baltimore Mayor's Business Recognition Award, in recognition of its community service. Among its charitable endeavors, for the past five years the firm has worked with the Women's Housing Coalition, collecting donations of unused toiletries, such as shampoos and soaps.
