Ramirez International Inc., Irvine, has changed its name to Ramirez Jimenez International Inc., to acknowledge the firm's growth and the role of partner Fernando Jimenez. The firm has also launched a new logo, and a new website at www.rjicpas.com. In addition, the firm, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, has also moved into larger offices. ... Wright Ford Young & Co., Irvine, has joined accounting firm network MGI.

 

CHINA

Daxin CPA has joined PKF International Limited. With 14 offices across China, the firm has 23 equity partners, 10 salaried partners and approximately 1,500 professional staff.

 

CONNECTICUT

Kosovy, Pratesi Co. LLC, Farmington, has changed its name to KPS Co. LLC, to recognize the contributions of partner John T. Salemi Jr. over the past decade. The firm created a new logo to reflect the name change.

 

IOWA

McGowen Hurst Clark & Smith PC, West Des Moines, has been named a Best Workplace for Young Professionals by the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

 

TEXAS

The Houston CPA Society will hold its 2011 Scholarship Extravaganza at the Junior League of Houston on February, to raise money for accounting scholarships and CPAs Helping Schools.
