Firms on the move: Mize Houser launches educational video series
WeiserMazars gets a name change; CohnReznick wins a Women in Leadership award; and more firm news from across the country.
Mize Houser & Company, Overland, launched Mize Houser Minutes, an online series of five educational videos produced in cooperation with the Kansas Restaurant & Hospitality Association. The videos, which can be accessed on the KRHA or Mize Houser websites, feature firm professionals addressing topics such as complying with Department of Labor overtime rules, understanding financial statements and sales and use taxes, and information on outsourcing payroll and protecting against fraud.
SEC (Sociedade de Ensino e Consultoria), Mozambique, joined UHY and will adopt the global accountancy network’s branding to be known as UHY Sociedade de Ensino e Consultoria, Limida or UHY SEC, Limitada.
WeiserMazars LLP has changed its name to Mazars USA LLP. The firm will remain an independent member firm of the Mazars Group.
CohnReznick received a Winner’s Circle Award for Women in Leadership, bestowed at the Winning is Everything Conference and recognizing the firm’s “open and inclusive culture and for investing in change that supports advancement of women by addressing issues of unconscious bias and enlisting the support of both women and men in developing solutions to maximize human potential.” CohnReznick launched both its women’s program, WomenCAN, and Executive Women’s Forum in 2005.
