Fishbowl Brings Inventory Management to the Cloud

Inventory control software provider Fishbowl plans to release Fishbowl Inventory 2012+ on Aug. 9, which will make some of the software’s inventory features accessible for the first time from the cloud.

Fishbowl users will be able to check inventory availability by using the Web-based Fishbowl Pipeline application on iPad, iPhone and Android devices. In addition to its new cloud accessibility, Fishbowl Inventory 2012+ will include multiple location tracking, auto purchase orders, and unlimited tracking types and custom fields. The software integrates with QuickBooks.

“We are happy to respond to our customers’ requests for new features,” said Fishbowl chief executive David Williams. “Today’s announcement answers their request for the ability to access inventory from any location, and it is the beginning of even greater flexibility and cloud-based options to come.”

In the near future, Fishbowl will add UPS Ready integration to increase the convenience of comparing shipping rates and sending products to customers. In the coming months, Fishbowl plans to bring more inventory management features to the cloud through Pipeline, including the ability to add products to Fishbowl Inventory, attach quantities, units of measure, prices and other data to those products, and calculate sales-order costs in real time when customers ask for a price quote.

Current Fishbowl customers under contract will receive Fishbowl Inventory 2012+ as a scheduled update. For more information, visit www.fishbowlinventory.com.
