Kansas City, Mo. (March 3, 2003) -- H&R Block elected Steven Tait, a former VP of sales and client operations at research and advisory firm Gartner Inc., to take over as president of HRB Business Services Inc.
Tait steps into the role on April 1, replacing Tom Rotherham who becomes the division’s chief financial officer. HRB Business Services is a wholly owned subsidiary providing accounting, consulting and professional services to middle market businesses, primarily through RSM McGladrey Inc., RSM EquiCo and MyBenefitSource.
While at Gartner, Tait directed the firm’s international organizations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America in providing technology research and advisory services to businesses. Prior to Gartner, Tait spent 18 years at Xerox Inc. where he served in numerous leadership positions including CEO and president of Xerox Connect, a wholly owned subsidiary that provides consulting and IT solutions to business clients.
Rotherham will continue as the leader of RSM McGladrey, where he has worked for 32 years.
