Grant Thornton named David Auclair as head of the accounting firm's National Tax Office.
Before joining Grant Thornton in June 2002, Auclair worked with Arthur Andersen's Office of Federal Tax Services and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel.
At Grant Thornton, he has been technical practice leader for accounting methods and periods, and until recently was technical practice leader for IRS practice and procedure.
He replaces Dean Jorgensen as managing principal at the National Tax Office. Jorgensen has moved on to the roles of tax practice leader of Grant Thornton's New York cluster and Northeast region tax partner.
