Grant Thornton has acquired the Oracle consulting business of MarketSphere, a Kansas City, Mo.-based business consulting firm, which expands Grant Thornton’s Technology Solutions practice.
The purchase brings to Grant Thornton more than 160 business process and technology consultants. Grant Thornton’s Advisory Services group focuses on providing independent advice to public, private and not-for-profit organizations in areas such as business consulting, mergers and acquisitions, forensics, valuation, restructuring and risk and controls.
The Grant Thornton team advises on complying with changing legislation, managing risk, containing costs, leveraging technology investments, streamlining business processes and identifying strategic transaction opportunities.

MarketSphere will continue to operate its unclaimed property and marketing operations practices.
