GT Beefs up Benefits Practice; Gets Audit Engagements

   

Chicago (Aug. 8, 2002) -- Global accounting firm Grant Thornton has added 10 professionals including two partners -- all formerly with Andersen --to its employee benefits audit practice office, here.The employee benefits practice provides audit services to employee benefits plans such as 401(k), pension, and health and welfare plans.

Separately, GT has been appointed auditor to San Antonio-based Interleukin Genetics and New York-based Tarragon Realty Investors. Both companies had previously employed Andersen as their external auditor.
