Houston Firm Acquires Neighbor

Two boutique accounting firms based in Houston announced their recent merger.

GLO CPAs LLP said that it will acquire the eight-person operation of John A. Braden & Co. PC, in a deal that it hopes will result in the combined firms’ ability to land more publicly-traded clients.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

GLO CPAs, which has a 25-year-old history and more than 50 accountants on staff, is a full-service firm that boasts team members with fluency in the Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean languages, as well as affiliations with 85 firms in 43 countries worldwide through Integra International.

Braden & Co. has a 36-year track record and provides audit services for companies registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and closely held businesses, as well as consulting and tax services for businesses and individuals. Besides clients in Houston, the firm also works with clients in Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom.
