RESELLERS ANNOUNCE MERGERBlytheco Business Solutions and Macdonald Consulting Group, two high-volume Sage Software resellers, have merged to form Blytheco LLC.

With annual revenue of $16.5 million, nearly 90 employees and two additional regional headquarters in Atlanta and Tampa, Fla., Blytheco LLC intends to continue eyeing acquisitions and mergers of both large and small Sage partners.

Last year, Blytheco Business Solutions generated $10 million in annual revenue and MCG brought in annual revenue of $6.5 million. Ruth Menter, former president of MCG, will remain on board as the president and chief operating officer of Blytheco LLC, overseeing the consulting team. There were no layoffs in the merger, according to Blythe, who added that the company is hiring for approximately 20 positions.

Blytheco LLC provides sales and implementation consulting and support for 11 Sage Software products, including Sage MAS 90/200, Sage MAS 500, Sage Abra HRMS, Sage MIP Fund Accounting, Sage MIP Fundraising, Sage BusinessWorks, Sage FAS, Sage SalesLogix, Sage CRM and ACT! By Sage.

MICROSOFT SUBSIDIARY ROLLS OUT NEW FORECASTER VERSION

Microsoft subsidiary FRx Software Corp. has unveiled its latest version of the company's budgeting and planning software.

Microsoft Forecaster 7.0 is geared towards midsized companies with upwards of 2,500 employees, though the software's sweet spot is for those businesses with 250 to 500 workers, according to Gregg Gracheck, senior product manager of FRx Software Corp.

The updated version now supports Microsoft Windows operating system authentication. Users will be able to sign onto Forecaster using the same login information that they use for Windows.

SAGE NAMES CHAIRMAN'S CLUB

Sage Software has named its Chairman's Club members for 2007, the group representing its top-selling business partners in North America.

Chairman's Club members represent the top two partners in each of Sage Software's six business units, as well as the next three highest-revenue partners outside of that ranking. Membership is based on product revenue.

Chairman's Club members receive a variety of marketing benefits, and attend an annual business retreat with Sage Software executives.

SAGE UNVEILS FUNDRAISING 100

Sage Software has made available its latest version of Sage Fundraising 100, its donor relationship management system for medium-to-large nonprofits.

Version 6.0 includes several enhancements, such as a new ad hoc common receivables table, upgraded data encryption capabilities, new integration with Microsoft Outlook's task and calendar features, and enhanced grants management module functionality, including general ledger integration with Sage MIP Fund Accounting and several other Sage and third-party accounting systems.

This version also offers a new directed-giving campaign module, and an add-on that allows integration with Sage's payment processing system, Sage Payment Solutions.
