DYNAMICS AX GOES GREENMicrosoft has added the Environmental Sustainability Dashboard to Microsoft Dynamics AX to help midsized businesses capture data that will allow them to measure indicators related to energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions as part of their business processes. The tool will be available to Dynamics AX 2009 customers for free.

In addition, Microsoft has issued detailed instructions on how businesses can implement environmental management accounting principles within its Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise resource planning software products.

SAGE UPGRADES PFW SOFTWARE

Sage North America has introduced the latest version of its PFW enterprise resource planning software, adding extra features in areas such as inventory and receivables management. Sage PFW ERP 5.7 provides new interface features, including additional fields and expanded field sizes, as well as better control and visibility of inventory items throughout the system. INTUIT PAYROLL RESPONDS TO STIMULUS PACKAGE

QuickBooks parent Intuit Inc. said that its Intuit Payroll unit has taken steps to accommodate the recently signed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 - the $787 billion stimulus package.

The company said that it would update federal and state tax tables to reflect the government's new tax credits pending approval from the Internal Revenue Service. As the IRS releases information and guidance, Intuit will also update required payroll tax forms. Intuit has posted information on stimulus payroll changes at www.usepayroll.com/stimulus.
