The American Institute of CPAs has created the SidneyKess Award for Excellence in Continuing Education, an award that recognizesCPAs who have made significant and outstanding contributions in the tax andfinancial planning areas.
The award was named after nationally renowned CPA, taxexpert and author Sidney Kess, 84, who has lectured more than 72,000practitioners on tax, financial and estate planning, as well as penninghundreds of articles and books on the subjects.
"Sid Kess has made an enormous contribution to theaccounting profession over his career," said AICPA president and CEO BarryMelancon. "Sid has passed his expertise in tax, financial and estateplanning to thousands of CPAs, and we are honored to establish an award in hisname. He has made and continues to make an impact on the profession."
