Accounting and business software giant Intuit Inc., maker of QuickBooks, has announced that it will host an industry event for small-business owners, accounting professionals and software developers in October.

The event will focus on education aimed at each group: Small businesses will learn how to grow and run their businesses more efficiently, developers how to create more relevant solutions, and accountants who grow their practices and better serve their clients.

“Our hope is that these three customer segments will build relationships like never before and learn from one another and Intuit in a way that makes the ecosystem we serve even stronger and more successful,” noted Intuit communications director Chris Repetto in an e-mail announcing the event.

The event will take place in San Jose October 22-24; Intuit plans to release the name, location and agenda soon, along with details on registration.
