Intuit has made available Snap Payroll, a free mobile app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that handles paycheck calculations for small businesses.
The app is designed for employers that have simple payroll needs. The application provides information on how much to write the paycheck for and how much to set aside for taxes, so small businesses can pay their employees accurately.
The app offers step-by-step guidance for the small business employer so they know exactly what information to input. Snap Payroll also keeps a record of paychecks calculated for reference, automatically updates tax rate changes and includes federal and state withholding forms.
Employers don’t need to be an existing Intuit Payroll customer to access Snap Payroll for free. The app is built on Appel’s iOS operating system.
Snap Payroll is currently available on iTunes and is available for the following states: Alaska, California, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming, with more states to come in the following months.
