Intuit Launches Multi-City QuickBooks Tour

Intuit announced a new 15-city national tour, QuickBooks Connect local, which follows the company’s QuickBooks Connect event earlier this year to continue offering training, certification and connections for accountants and developers.

The tour’s first two stops are in Miami and Mountain View, Calif., Jan. 6 before traveling on through mid-January. Attendees can earn up to five hours of CPE and get trained and certified as QuickBooks ProAdvisors.

“Our national QuickBooks Connect event inspired, educated and connected nearly 4,000 accountants, developers, small businesses and entrepreneurs,” stated Jim McGinnis, vice president of Intuit’s accountant and advisor group. “Now we want to take the show on the road to bring some of the magic of QuickBooks Connect to cities across the U.S. and help accountants uncover new ways to save time and grow their businesses.”

Each stop on the tour will feature an inspirational speaker, including Bryce Forney, Stacy Kildal, Sandi Smith Leyva, Michelle Long, Edi Osborne, Leslie Barber and Intuit president and CEO Brad Smith.

Also on hand to showcase their apps will be developers integrated with QuickBooks, including BillQuick, Bill.com, Concur, Fundbox, JuvodHR, Method:CRM, Neat, Pensmore IPLink, Qvinci, Spotlight Reporting, TransactionPro Importer, TSheets, SOS Inventory and Vend.

“The goal of the ProAdvisor Program is to help accounting professionals confidently support the clients that rely on them to run and grow their businesses,” stated Luis Sanchez, Intuit’s global ProAdvisor program leader. “Adding the QuickBooks Connect inspiration and connection components to our educational program is going to be a huge benefit for our attendees.”

In addition to the tour, Intuit is hosting a separate QuickBooks Connect Local event Jan. 7 at the Omni Providence Hotel in Providence, R.I. The event will not offer ProAdvisor certification and testing, but will feature more inspirational speakers and cover the latest industry trends. More information on that event is available here
