Intuit Online Payroll Now Available via Google Apps

Intuit Inc. has made its Intuit Online Payroll product available on the Google Apps Marketplace, effectively broadening the distribution of the Software as a Service payroll product to small business users. It is the first of Intuit’s products to be offered on Google.

Formerly PayCycle, which was acquired by Intuit in July 2009, Intuit Online Payroll can now be used to create paychecks, check paystubs, or pay payroll taxes right from Google Apps.

“Google Apps is a platform that is fast increasing SaaS awareness, and the ability to integrate an award-wining payroll product in a Google platform gives us an opportunity to provide a meaningful application to make it easier and more efficient to serve small businesses,” said Garret Seevers, group marketing manager for Intuit Online Payroll. “With our acquisition of PayCycle and more than 1 million payroll customers, we continue to lead the way in giving small businesses the tools they want most to effectively manage their payroll online. This move broadens our distribution, opens more doors and exposes small business to payroll online — providing anytime, anywhere access.”

Intuit Online Payroll will also soon be available on Intuit’s own Intuit App Center with Web applications designed for small businesses. There are currently 35 Intuit products available at its App Center, according to an Intuit spokesperson, who added that the company will explore opportunities for additional products on Google Apps.

Intuit Online Payroll for Google Apps is available on the Google Apps Marketplace starting at $39 per month.
