Accounting and business consulting firm J.H. Cohn announced revenues of $236 million for the fiscal year ending Jan. 31, 2011.

“This growth reflects the reputation J.H. Cohn has built for honesty, technical excellence and personalized service,” said Chief Executive Thomas J. Marino in a statement. “In these tough economic times, we are focused on guiding clients through challenges and helping them recognize and optimize upon new opportunities.”

In the 2011 fiscal year, J.H. Cohn formed a joint venture with global transportation solutions provider TOTALogistix, operating as Cohn Logistics, to address the transportation and supply chain challenges of clients.

The firm foundation’s Cohn for Kids campaign surpassed the cumulative $1 million fundraising mark for Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey in the last year and reached nearly $2 million for all charities combined.

The past year also marked the fifth anniversary of the J.H. Cohn Professional Women’s Program and its mission the recruit, retain and advance women.

The firm also appointed Steven J. Mayer as managing partner of the New York region and Robert DeMeola, who previously served in that role, as co-chief operating officer.

J.H. Cohn ranked No. 17 on Accounting Today's 2011 Top 100 Firms list
