JMT Consulting to Award Nonprofits Abila Software Grants

JMT Consulting Group, technology value-added reseller and services provider to the nonprofit sector, is offering Accelerate grants toward the purchase of Abila MIP Fund Accounting software.

JMT Consulting is providing two types of grants through the Accelerate program, an incubator for nonprofits. The grants for complete three-user Abila MIP Fund systems include the modules of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budget Reporting, Bank Reconciliation, Data Import/Export and Forms Designer for up to three concurrent users.

JMT Consulting is also offering marching grant awards, giving the equivalent of 50 percent of the purchase price of the Abila system up to $10,000.

“Our goal is to empower growing nonprofits with fund accounting software so that they can improve their organization’s financial functions,” stated JMT Consulting CEO and founder, Jacqueline M. Tiso. “Without a proper fund accounting system it is difficult, if not impossible, for nonprofits to manage effectively and ensure the fulfillment of their mission.”

In 2015, grants will be awarded to a minimum of 15 nonprofits that, in order to eligible, must be a 501 (c)(3) and have an annual operating budget of less than $5,000,000 according to their most recent IRS Form 990.

“When a nonprofit has a fund accounting system designed for nonprofits, they benefit from greater financial insight into their organization and provide expected transparency to their constituents,” stated Tiso. “With Abila MIP Fund Accounting, financial directors can abandon spreadsheets because reporting comes directly from the system. Better reporting means the nonprofit organization can stay organized, make informed decisions, better manage the funds they have, and put themselves in a position to win more grant awards and attract more numerous and larger donations.”
