Kaspersky Lab rolled out the latest versions of its antivirus and security software.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 include a privacy wizard that can help accountants protect the confidentiality of client data.
"It could be good for accountants to get rid of private information," said senior product marketing manager Peter Beardmore.
The software includes a rebuilt virus-scanning engine and a white list containing 7 billion entries. The latest version also includes a virtual keyboard for securely entering information such as passwords, bank account numbers and credit card numbers to prevent them from being captured by keystroke loggers and spyware programs. The software offers protection against Web site spoofing, and provides features for creating a system restore and rescue disk to help recover from a serious computer crash.
