Kellogg & Andelson Acquires Barry Ira Goldstein & Co.

Kellogg & Andelson Accountancy Corp. has acquired Barry Ira Goldstein & Co.

Goldstein started his professional career working at a CPA firm in Beverly Hills nearly 40 years ago and formed his own practice in 1975. His firm later grew through a merger with another local Beverly Hills firm and now will be joining the K&A team. The acquisition is K&A's seventh in recent years. K&A acquired the West Los Angeles office of Kelson Rood Winkler & Stoll in October. It also recently acquired UHY Advisors' LA practice, as well as Markman & Brecker Associates, Wien Sales Vizvary, and Hecox & Wheeler.

"K&A has now merged several firms' clients into our firm, thus improving our transitioning process and seeing very little turnover of the acquired clients," said K&A president and CEO Christian Payne in a statement. "We look forward to continuing to provide the small-firm feel that Mr. Goldstein's clients have come to expect, while now being able to deliver to them services they were unable to access before."

Payne anticipates making additional acquisitions in the coming year. His firm was founded in 1939 and now operates out of two offices in Southern California, and two offices offshore in India.
