New York (Dec. 22, 2003) -- Accounting Today senior editor Melissa Klein has been named editor of WebCPA.com, the premier Web news site and resource guide for tax and accounting professionals.
Klein has been covering breaking news and trends in the accounting and tax profession for more than five years. She joined Accounting Today in 1998 as a staff writer and was later promoted to associate editor. She served a brief stint as senior news editor at online portal Pro2Net (now SmartPros) from 2000 to 2001 before rejoining Accounting Today in April 2001 as a senior editor.
She has spearheaded the newspaper’s annual Top 100 Firms project, as well as its coverage of financial planning and forensic accounting. She has been a speaker at industry events, including The National Forum for Women in Accounting.
