KPMG Opens College Faculty Web Portal

KPMG has created a Web portal with accounting and business resources for university professors.

The portal, kpmgfacultyportal.com, contains daily news articles about issues affecting the accounting profession, along with information on KPMG forums, webcasts and other events. The site also features links to KPMG papers, initiatives and other resources. And it provides access to course materials and tools from KPMG designed to augment student courses.

"Whether a professor needs crucial information to assist with a lesson plan or just wants another resource to stay current with recent accounting issues, this portal was created to meet the needs of professors at all of the prestigious universities we continually work with around the country," said Manny Fernandez, KPMG's national managing partner of campus recruiting, in a statement.

One of the resources on the site is called "The Ethical Compass - A Toolkit for Integrity in Business." The toolkit includes scenarios, presentations and other materials for exploring business ethics in a classroom setting.
