Kroll expands European services

New York — Global risk consulting concern Kroll Inc. widened the European presence of its Corporate Advisory & Restructuring Group, luring aboard two KPMG executives from that Big Four firm’s corporate recovery practice in France and establishing an alliance with a German restructuring and insolvency firm.

Kroll has partnered with Thierhoff, Illy & Partner, a German restructuring and insolvency firm that will work exclusively with Kroll on cross-border restructuring engagements in Germany.

Meanwhile, Nicolas de Germay, previously head of KPMG’s Corporate Recovery practice in France, and Emmanuell Bonnaud, a partner in that practice, will both join Kroll.

De Germay specializes in corporate strategies and restructuring packages and is also the current chairman of the French Society of Turnaround Professionals. Bonnaud’s background includes extensive experience  with insolvent businesses and restructuring assignments.
