LaFollette Leaves CSI to Consult Accounting Firms

Ann Arbor, Mich. (May 23, 2003) -- Greg LaFollette, product strategy vice president for accounting firm software vendor Creative Solutions Inc., has left the company to open his own business as a technology consultant to accounting firms.

LaFollette, who served as the company's point person to the profession and as a featured speaker at numerous accounting trade shows during his five years at CSI, said his new business will help accounting firms realize the full value of all the technology solutions available in areas that include tax preparation and firm management. Those are CSI's key product areas.

"The publishers all offer many features and benefits in their packages and they teach you how to use them, but they don't teach you how to adapt your business practices to take full advantage of the technology you buy. That's where I step in," LaFollette said. His Accounting Technology Resource Network, which provides consulting-related to products from all vendors, is based in Ann Arbor, Mich., not far from CSI's headquarters in Dexter, Mich.

He said he left CSI amicably. "We're still good friends, but not colleagues anymore," he said. CSI, whose products include UltraTax, Write-Up Solution and GoSystem Audit, is a Thomson business.
