LaFollette Takes Job at Publisher

Ann Arbor, Mich. (Oct. 20, 2003) -- Six months after disclosing plans to leave Creative Solutions Inc., CPA Greg LaFollette has left the software developer to assume a variety of roles that include executive editor of the publication CPA Software News.

For the past five years, LaFollette has been CSI's product strategy vice president and one of the best-known speakers at accounting profession technology conferences. In addition to the publishing job, LaFollette is operating Accounting Technology Resource Network, an Ann Arbor, Mich.-based provider of technology-related consulting to accounting firms, and he serves as senior tax manager with the Weidmayer, Schneider, Raham, & Bennett CPA firm in Ann Arbor, Mich.

"As many of you know, I've been in the process of leaving Thomson Creative Solutions for several months. Well, today was my final day," LaFollette said in an e-mail sent to associates. " It's been a great run --- CSI was, is, and will no doubt remain, a vibrant, exciting place to work." Dexter, Mich.-based CSI is a Thomson business.

Cygnus Business Media, publisher of Shawnee-Okla.-based CPA Software News said that LaFollette, who has written a guest column for the publication since 1996, will now oversee editorial direction, provide counsel on accounting industry issues and represent the magazine at trade shows.

"We are excited that Greg is joining our team," said CPA Software News publisher Shari Dodgen. "His wealth of experience as a practicing public accountant and working for a large software developer will greatly enhance our ability to provide our readers with the information they need." Before joining CSI, LaFollette founded and operated a CPA a firm in Sioux Falls, S.D.
