LarsonAllen Makes Deals in Florida, Arizona

LarsonAllen announced that is has acquired the offices of Florida’s Chastang, Ferrell, Sims & Eiserman LLC, in a deal effective Nov. 1.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

CFSE has four Florida offices in Tampa, Naples, Winter Park (just outside Orlando) and Celebration, which were run by seven shareholders in the firm. The acquisition will significantly expand LarsonAllen’s tax and international tax resources.

LarsonAllen chief executive Gordy Viere said that his firm’s ultimate goal is to enlarge its footprint and be able to provide specialized services to its clients -- something that the Top 100 firm took another step towards with its same-day acquisition of Mesa, Ariz.-based commercial services firm Christensen, Gale & McLaren LLP. Just over a year ago, LarsonAllen moved into the Phoenix-area market with the acquisition of Hopkins Parker & Co. PLC.

LarsonAllen has a handful of offices located in the upper Midwest and other locations in St. Louis, southwestern Florida and Charlotte, N.C. In January, the firm expanded its presence in the Philadelphia market, and followed that deal with the May acquisition of a firm based in Washington. LarsonAllen ranked No. 19 on Accounting Today's 2006 list of Top 100 Firms, with revenues of $119 million.
