Lewis & Knopf Acquires Shayna Accounting

Lewis & Knopf CPAs has merged in Ann Arbor-based Shayna Accounting CPAs.

The Ann Arbor office will be known as Shayna, Lewis & Knopf, a Division of Lewis & Knopf. The merger took effect on November 1. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“This merger will only help improve our services to our clients,” said Lewis & Knopf managing principal Anita Abrol. “Though we continue to grow, we will maintain our commitment to exceptional service and will never lose our close personal relationships with our clients.”

Lewis & Knopf is a mid-market accounting firm based in Flint, Mich. The firm specializes in serving construction, auto dealerships, manufacturing and distribution, professional service, retail and not-for-profit organizations.  Lewis & Knopf currently employs 46 professionals.

“Our decision to merge was based on a number of  factors, but for the most part we recognized that we share identical service philosophies — always putting clients first and focusing on giving back to the community,” said Shayna Accounting president Ken Shayna. “Combining our resources and knowledge base is a tremendous win for our clients and our professionals.”

Shayna founded his firm in 1991. The firm focuses on professional services, construction, retail, software and R&D firms, manufacturing and distribution and not-for-profit organizations.
