Long Island Firm Strikes Merger Deal

Garden City, N.Y.-based Janover Rubinroit LLC has reached an agreement to merge the Baldwin, N.Y.-based firm of Gilbert & Levy into its practice.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
 
The combined Long Island firms will operate under the Janover Rubinroit name, and in mid-November, Gilbert & Levy’s entire staff will relocate to Janover Rubinroit’s main office in Garden City. Janover Rubinroit has a second office in New York.

Gilbert & Levy specializes in tax planning and compliance, while Janover Rubinroit advertises its expertise in the professional services, chief financial officer outsourcing, Securities and Exchange Commission services and Internet commerce. Janover Rubinroit clients also have access to firm affiliates operating in the financial advisory, insurance and benefit service spaces.

Janover Rubinroit most recently acquired Rosenzweig & Maffia, an accounting firm specializing in publishing, sports and entertainment, in late 2003.
