Jill Kovalich has joined Mahoney Sabol & Co. LLP, as director of marketing. Kovalich will direct the strategic and tactical marketing initiatives, public relations, and business development activities for the firm’s three offices located in Glastonbury, Middletown, and Essex, Conn.

Prior to Mahoney Sabol & Co., Kovalich held similar marketing positions with national and regional CPA firms, where she strategically guided revenue growth through business development initiatives, marketing planning and implementation, marketing communications, public relations, web site content, social media, and event coordination.

“Our partners feel that the next natural step in growing our firm is to bring cohesion to our marketing efforts,” James Mahoney, managing partner and co-founder of the firm said in a statement. “Mahoney Sabol is a solid brand, and we want to tell our success story.”

Kovalich is a member of the Middlesex United Way Women's Initiative Leadership Committee, the steering committee of the Middlesex Businesswomen's Alliance, and the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation New Haven Chapter. Kovalich is on the editorial committee of the Association for Accounting Marketing and has written for and served as co-editor of its publication, Growth Strategies.  She has spoken at professional conferences in Washington, D.C., and Chicago. Her articles have also been published in the Connecticut Society of CPA's Magazine and the Connecticut Law Tribune.

Kovalich earned her B.A. in Communication Arts from Marywood University, in Scranton, Penn., and an M.A. in Organizational Communications from Emerson College, in Boston, Mass.
