Sage Software Select resellers Blytheco Business Solutions and Macdonald Consulting Group have merged to form Blytheco LLC.
With annual revenues of $16.5 million, nearly 90 employees and two additional regional headquarters in Atlanta and Tampa, Fla., Blytheco intends to continue eyeing mergers and acquisitions with both large and small Sage Software partners.
“Our intentions are to create a true national Sage partner that has coverage in all of the major metropolitan cities in the United States and be able to offer our clientele full national presence with a local touch,” Blytheco chief executive Stephen Blythe told WebCPA.
With 27 years of experience as a Sage reseller, Blytheco will continue to provide business software and service offerings from entry level accounting and content management software, to applications integrating enterprise resource planning, accounting distribution, manufacturing, customer relationship management and human resource management systems.
In 2006, Blytheco Business Solutions earned $10 million in annual revenues, while MCG brought in annual revenues of $6.5 million. Former MCG president Ruth Menter will remain onboard as the president and chief operating officer of Blytheco LLC, overseeing the consulting team. According to Blythe, there will be no layoffs with the merger, and the company is actually looking to hire approximately 20 people.
“We saw we had some real synergy in the way we did business,” Blythe said of the working relationship his company had with MCG. “Our philosophies and implementation methodologies were similar and we just really saw some advantages to taking it from a strategic partnership to a real partnership.”
Blytheco LLC will provide sales and implementation consulting and support for 11 Sage Software products, including Sage MAS 90, Sage MAS 200, Sage MAS 500, Sage Abra HRMS, Sage MIP Fund Accounting, Sage MIP Fundraising, Sage BusinessWorks, Sage FAS, Sage SalesLogix, Sage CRM and ACT! By Sage.
