Mass. Society Honors Women to Watch

The Massachusetts Society of CPAs announced its 2011 Women to Watch at its inaugural Women's Leadership Summit, held earlier this month.

The five honorees were chosen for their contributions to the accounting profession and their community, and for demonstrating leadership characteristics. Awards were given in two categories: Emerging Leaders, for those with less than 15 years in the profession, and Experienced Leaders.

Recognized as Emerging Leaders were LeeAnn Manning, CPA, of Grant Thornton, and Roberta Chirco, CPA, of CCR LLP. Recognized as Experienced Leaders were Kristin Francisco, CPA, of PwC; Laura Barooshian, CPA, of DiCicco, Gulman & Co.; and Marla Beck, CPA, of CCR LLP.
