Boston (Dec. 9, 2003) -- Forensic accounting and consulting firm Matson, Driscoll & Damico has agreed to acquire Carrigan Associates P.C., a public accounting firm headquartered here.

Terms were not disclosed.

Carrigan Associates specializes in complex insured commercial losses for claim professionals and legal counsels.

Carrigan founder Charlie Carrigan will work with MD&D and head up an office in Portsmouth, N.H. Carrigan’s Matt Adrian will become a manager with MD&D's Boston office and Tom Ross has been named a supervisor in the Boston office. Carrigan Associates' Portland, Maine, office will be folded into MD&D's office there. That unit will be headed by Jonathan Ducey.

Now in its 70th year, MD&D has 26 offices around the world.
