Philadelphia’s H.R. Margolis Co. and Washington-area Becker & Co. PC announced that they will merge to form MargolisBecker.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The two companies are the leading CPA firms providing financial and management services to the graphic communications industry.
MargolisBecker will maintain its current operations in both Philadelphia and Washington. Leadership of the new company will be shared by Stuart Margolis in the Philadelphia office and Bart Krupnick and Joe Becker in the Washington office. Krupnick is a long-time partner in Becker & Company with Becker and his wife, Christine, and has been friends with Margolis since their childhood days in Philadelphia.
The new firm will employee six partners and a total of 17 employees.
Both firms share a long list of credentials from graphic communications associations and have independently served as “on-site” consultants for the Printing Industries of America. H.R. Margolis is well known for its long-term participation in compiling the annual “PIA/GATF Ratio Studies,” which provide a comprehensive picture of the financial status of the graphic arts industry in the United States and Canada.
