MNP Expands Ontario Presence

Meyers Norris Penny, the 7th largest accounting and business advisory firm in Canada, has merged in Shiner Kideckel Zweig Inc., an insolvency specialist with eight offices in Ontario.

Terms were not disclosed.

Effective March 1, SKZ will begin operating under the MNP brand. SKZ offers such reorganization services as corporate restructuring, advising and acting on behalf of secured creditors, personal and corporate bankruptcy and proposal consulting.

MNP has some 75 offices across Canada.

MNP first entered the Toronto market last June via a merger with Horwath Orenstein LLP.
The SKZ offices will be overseen by MNP regional managing partner Paul Dunnett.
