Mowery & Schoenfeld LLC has merged in a fellow Illinois CPA firm, Gary Hart & Associates, Ltd., effective Jan. 1, 2016.
This is Mowery’s fifth merger in the past seven years. The firm has grown from three professionals to nearly 60 since it was founded in November 1996.
Gary Hart & Associates, formerly based in Northbrook, Ill., moved to Mowery’s offices in Lincolnshire on Jan. 25.
Hart's practice was highly sought after and received many merger offers.
“Gary Hart has built a unique practice assisting individuals with their income tax and estate planning needs, as well as serving closely-held businesses, especially those in the real estate area,” said Mowery & Schoenfeld managing partner Jeff Mowery in a statement. “We are excited to welcome Gary and his clients into our firm. This merger will allow us to expand our knowledge base and offer more specialized services to our clients.”
Hart cited the excellent talent at Mowery & Schoenfeld as one of the most attractive features of the firm.
