NCCPAP Elects New Officer Slate

Jericho, N.Y. (Nov. 25, 2003) -- The National Conference of CPA Practitioners, a 25-year-old organization of member firms representing sole CPAs in public practice, elected Carol C. Markman, partner at Syosset, N.Y.-based Feldman, Meinberg & Co., as its president for the 2003-2004 term.

She has testified before Congress and worked with the IRS on tax issues pertaining specifically to the small business owner.

Also elected to NCCPAP’s officer slate was Dennis Scott of Oneonta, N.Y., as executive vice president, while Todd Newman, of Carmel, N.Y.; Walt Smith of Baraboo, Wis.; and Chuck Pegler of Islandia, N.Y.; were elected as vice presidents.

Neil Sullivan, of Scarsdale, N.Y., was elected to serve as secretary, while Karen Guinta, of Hicksville, N.Y., is the groups’ 2003-2004 treasurer.
