New Business and Accounting Software from Formever

Formever Inc. has launched its self-titled business and accounting software, which can be downloaded for the desktop or laptop for free or used in the cloud for a monthly fee.

The new software is aimed at small to midsized businesses and their accountants, with the prime target being companies from 10 to 250 employees in size (as a proxy for revenues and complexity).

“We think the main opportunity lies in companies that are experiencing 'pain', where they need a system to track things, but nothing is quite working for their particular circumstances and everything else is too costly and time consuming to do a full customization,” said Formever chief executive Corin Gutteridge. “Smaller companies can certainly make use of it, but they might be more inclined to just use the free version, wait until their accountant offers a basic set-up, or until we set up our 'library' feature for the community to share sample systems or examples of forms.”

Gutteridge also stressed that he believes Formever differentiates itself from the myriad of SMB-focused accounting software currently on the market as it is designed with a high degree of customizability for all fields in the program.

“All other systems -- certainly everything I've been able to find -- have some level of logic pre-built. They have set tabs, set fields within those tabs, set ways of entering invoices, processing payments, etc.” he said. “In other programs, you can change what's on the lists, you can tweak a little around the edges, but most of it is set.  That's why you end up having to do a lot of training, and why they often end up being industry specific. We don’t have that. We make it easy for people to create their own forms, make decisions on how and when to process things, and by whom.”

Formever is currently available for free download, while optional cloud services are priced per seat, per month, ranging from a single log-in at $49.95 per month to unlimited log-ins at $1,000 per month. Formever’s cloud-based services include multi-user access, automatic updates and back-up, encryption, and tech support.
