New CPA Firm Formed in Tampa

The former CFO of the American Cancer Society has formed her own CPA firm.

The new firm, known as A-lign CPA, was founded by Tanya Pavlik. The firm plans to specialize in auditing and business consulting services. She is joined by Scott Price, an expert in performing Statement of Auditing Standard 70 auditing services. He was formerly president of SAS 70 Solutions, a CPA firm that focused solely on SAS 70 audits.

Along with SAS 70 audits, A-lign will perform internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance services, WebTrust/SysTrust services, Payment Card Industry  readiness assessments, International Standards Organization 27002 benchmark services, Federal Information Security Management Act assessments, and Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act compliance reviews.

Before her stint as CFO at the American Cancer Society, Pavlik was an auditor in Arthur Andersen’s business assurance and advisory services team. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs, and a board member of the University of South Florida Accounting Circle.

Price is a council member of the AICPA and is vice president of the FICPA. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Internal Auditor.
