New Jersey Firms Merge

WithumSmith+Brown has merged in another New Jersey-based accounting firm, Serluco & Co.

All eight staff members from Serluco's Holmdel office will relocate to WS+B's Red Bank office. They include three CPAs: Richard Serluco and his son Michael, and Joseph Denuto. Gerald Rembisz, Anthonie Zimmermann, Tara Candell, Aida Scaccianoce and Judy Silver have also joined the firm. They specialize in offering audit, accounting, tax and consulting services, primarily to health care providers and not-for-profit organizations.

"Serluco & Co. not only fit our criteria as a merging firm, but they are also in our local marketplace and have a niche expertise that we are looking to expand upon," said Andy Vitale (pictured), partner-in-charge of WS+B's Red Bank office, in a statement. "Their team adds tremendous talent to our firm."

WS+B ranked 41st on Accounting Today's 2008 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $70.1 million at the end of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008. Serluco & Co.'s annual revenue is $1.5 million.
