New York Forensic Accounting Firms Merge

BST Advisory Network LLC will merge its operations with Ferraro Andrie CPAs PC of Saratoga Springs effective Oct. 1, creating a fraud and forensic accounting team alternative north of New York City.

The merged firms will continue to practice as the BST Advisory Network, which has offices in Colonie, N.Y., and New York City, and is anchored by accounting firm Bollam Sheedy Torani & Co. LLP.

Stephen Ferraro, a principal in Ferraro Andrie, will become a partner in the network's BST Valuation and Litigation Advisors LLC subsidiary, working in its fraud and forensic department. His partner, Kristen Andrie, will become a partner in two BST subsidiaries, Bollam Sheedy and BST Advisors LLC, working in their tax departments. Both will continue working with their existing clients.

The larger BST Advisory Network LLC employs 90 people at its Colonie headquarters. In addition to accounting, auditing, tax, fraud and forensics work, the network's various units advise on pensions, human resources, physician health care operations, mergers and acquisitions, wealth management, litigation support and business valuation.

The BST Advisory Network is an alliance of financial services and management consulting firms led by some of the Northeast's most respected business advisors. Formed by the partners of the accounting firm, Bollam, Sheedy, Torani & Co., clients of the BST Advisory Network have access to a broad array of professional advisory services.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
