NJSCPA Receives PR Award for CPA Road Shows

Roseland, N.J. (June 23, 2003) -- The New Jersey Society of CPAs has received the 2003 Pyramid Award from the Public Relations Society of America/New Jersey Chapter for its work on road shows developed to inform students about the CPA profession.

The Pyramid Awards are intended to recognize outstanding achievements in public relations.

The road shows are multimedia presentations that can be used in classroom settings, conferences and college fairs. During the 2002/2003, NJSCPA members reached more than 3,500 students in New Jersey through the road shows.

In addition to the Pyramid Award, the NJSCPA received an honorable mention in the special programs category for its Scholars Institute for college students, which was developed in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The Scholars Institute provides college students with training to assist them in making a successful transition into the job market. It was recently expanded to include a program for high school students.
