NN+D Merges in Chickering CPA Firm

Nanavaty, Nanavaty & Davenport LLP, a CPA and business advisory firm based in Newtown, Conn., has merged in Ronald C. Chickering’s CPA firm, effective Nov. 1.

The combined firm will retain the NN+D name. Chickering will move his office from Monroe, Conn., to NN+D’s location in Newtown. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Chickering first established his CPA firm in Monroe in 1985.

“Ron Chickering is a wonderful guy and CPA, with a great book of business,” said NN+D partner Bob Davenport in a statement. “We believe that he will be a great asset to our firm and that his clients will be impressed with the quality of services and seamless transition this combination will provide to them.”
He added that the merger is consistent with his firm’s strategy of expanding and strengthening its market presence in Monroe and Shelton, and Fairfield County, Conn., in general.

Founded in 1991, NN+D is a regional accounting firm that provides audit, tax planning and preparation, accounting, and business consulting services.

“I have known the people at NN+D for many years and have always admired their dedication to their clients and their staff,” said Chickering. “I think this is a wonderful succession plan for me and my clients.”

Chickering plans to continue to focus on financial, tax and estate planning for clients, as well as act as a consultant in other areas of clients’ business operations.
