Mid-market accounting software developer Open Systems Inc. has introduced a new reseller unit focused on developing business within the Americas, which will be headed by newly appointed vice president of channel development Linda Shillingburg.

Shillingburg has 12 years of experience in business software integration, and has been with Open Systems for six years, most recently serving as regional vice president of sales. The new program is targeting VARs, systems integrators and independent IT consulting firms within North America.

“We have two product lines, an array of applications and vertical market solutions that a reseller can present to their clients,” said Shillingburg. “Because of the development tools we make available to partners, modifications can easily be done to ensure their clients have exactly what they want and how they want it. Open Systems is looking for strong reselling partners.”

Open Systems’ main products include Traverse for Microsoft .NET and SQL Server-based systems, and the Java-based OSAS for Windows, Mac and Linux computers.

In addition to the partner program rollout in the Americas, the company is also offering partner and distributor programs on a global basis.
