Panel to Offer Advice on Preparing for 2005 Individual Tax Filing Season

The Internal Revenue Service is co-sponsoring a free Webcast aimed at helping tax and payroll professionals who prepare individual federal tax returns to get ready for the upcoming filing season.

The Tax Talk Today Webcast, "Get Ready for Filing Season 2005: Part One Individuals," will cover all the tax law changes and IRS processing issues that will impact filing returns for most individual taxpayers. Specifically, the show will focus on the Earned Income Tax Credit, recent tax law changes and how to avoid the most common errors on filing returns committed by tax practitioners. The Webcast is part of a two-part series. The second part, scheduled for January, will focus on issues for practitioners who prepare federal tax returns for businesses.
