Rochester, N.Y. (Dec. 5, 2002) -- Payroll and benefits provider Paychex Inc. has partnered with online educational concern WiseGuides Inc. to offer accounting professionals online CPE.
Through the venture, CPAs and accountants can take a free, one-credit CPE seminar each month made available through the accounting professionals section of Paychex's Web site,
The company said the topic of the complimentary online CPE seminar would change on a monthly basis. Additional seminars are available at a reduced cost.
WiseGuides offers 240 hours of CPE, with course topics that include taxation, accounting and auditing, practice management, and professional development. Upon achieving a minimum passing score, course completion certificates are sent to accountants via e-mail.
In addition to the new online CPE program, Paychex currently offers some13 on-site CPE seminars, with topics including 401(k), incorporating a section 125 plan, and workers' compensation insurance.
Paychex said the online CPE is another component of its ongoing "Partnership for Success" program.
